The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) is a think tank. They respond to the growing regional and global importance of access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and clean energy in a world of a dramatically changing climate by its regional project “Energy Security and Climate Change Asia-Pacific”. Climate change and energy security are among the biggest challenges for many Asian countries in the coming decades.
The Regional Project Energy Security and Climate Change Asia-Pacific (RECAP) of the KAS foundation is the major funder of the Circular Campus Programme and Circular Enterprise Programme.

Circular Connect Competition 2023
Through their 3RproMar project, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, brought forth the Circular Connect Competition. The competition was geared towards providing a platform for the youth sector to develop circular economy-focused solutions to help tackle the problem of plastic waste and marine litter in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.
GIZ engaged Roleen Sevillena of Circular Cities Asia as the implementer of the Circular Connect Competition.
